Disclaimer

Whilst we take the greatest care in the handling & cleaning of your blinds, we will not be held responsible for any damage caused by the scenarios mentioned below, pre-existing brittle components, frayed cords or any parts that have been affected by age and/or UV conditions.

We are, however, able to assist with replacement for these parts if necessary. Replacement parts and the labour to fit them will be at the customer’s own expense.

(Note: some blinds may be too old and parts may no longer be available.)

Venetians

Due to the age of some venetians, fading and a deterioration in the paintwork can occur. Aluminium Venetians can also demonstrate pitting/corrosion caused by a dust and moisture build up if left for long periods without cleaning. This is often more noticeable where windows are left open to the elements. Both conditions increase the chances of paint being removed during the cleaning process. Aluminium Venetians in kitchens are often subject to oil & grease build up, which can also weaken the paint. When theses blinds are immersed for cleaning, the weakened paint may dissolve leaving patches of raw Aluminium. We do not take responsibility for any damage to the paint that may occur during the cleaning process.

Curtains

• It is normal for curtains to shrink when washed. We cannot give any guarantee that your curtains will not shrink. We do not take responsibility for them shrinking.
  • 3% curtain shrinkage is the industry standard, but this percentage can increase to 5-10% shrinkage in some curtain fabrics during the cleaning.
• We will not be held responsible for any latent or unforeseen issues such as dye/colour migration or UV damage that is not clearly visible before starting the work.
• Curtain linings and specifically coated fabrics are subject to damage during the dry-cleaning process. Coated fabrics often delaminate during the cleaning process. For this reason, we do not recommend cleaning coated fabrics.
• We do not accept responsibility for this damage as it is unavoidable.
• We reserve the right to charge a storage fee after 21 days if curtains are not collected or able to be returned due to circumstances such as building works, painting and other.

Mould removal

Mould is killed in the cleaning process and will not continue to grow. However, residual staining and the fragrance of mould, are difficult to remove. We are not able to guarantee 100% removal of mould stains or mould smells.

A SURCHARGE OF $25 will be charged for blinds that demonstrate moulding, as these blinds require extra treatment and soaking procedures to remove this mould.

Roman Blind

Roman Blinds cleaning is also available. However, slight shrinkage may occur on some fabrics. Some fabrics have a “flocked” back lining (block-out), which in some instances is susceptible to delaminating. We do not accept responsibility in the event that this occurs.
